Day 2, Jan. 3
Travel day- Fairy to Playa del Carmen
- Bus from Playa del Carmen to Chetumal on the border of Mexico & Belize
- Bus from Chetumal to Belize City
- Bus from Belize City to San Ignacio
Cost for 1 week stay at Kumquat Cottage: $300 USD (recently raised to $360)
Day 3 - 8, Jan 4-9
San Ignacio, BelizeExploring the Cayo District
Daytrip to Tikal, Guatamala

Travel to Caye Caulker

Flight back to Minneapolis

Thanks, everybody! I think we'll have a blast. And, bluegrrrrl, there's no way to choose! It will be nice to get away from the dreary cold MN winter (which is not even all that cold this year, but is definitely dreary), but I can't wait to check out some Mayan ruins, too!
I checked out the link for the Kumquat Cottage today (Wed.). What a cool place to stay for a few days!
It does look like you planned a really fun and relaxing trip. I'm going to follow your itinerary as an armchair traveler!
I think you should have taken your mother! But since you didn't, maybe you could get her one of those pretty wooden boxes...hint, hint!
